The Christmas in July swap is now officially CLoSeD for 2017.
All players received their gifts on time, it's just unfortunate that I was away & didn't get to write this catch up post earlier... SoRRy
Thank you to all involved. I think by the caliber of gifts received...everyone is probably still smiling...
I designed a new pin cushion... called PiN Me
I am in the process of writing a pattern... so if you like this pin cushion... one I've finished writing it you will be able to make one for yourself as well.
It will be on my web page as a FREE pattern so check back here for the link in a week or so.
I used my scraps to make it, so perhaps you can use some too & make another one as a gift for a friend.
This Friday is the first one of a new month... so that means...
Friday Night with Friends
Unfortunately I will be away in Melbourne, but I will be with you all in spirit.
My front door is open...& you are all welcome... ha ha ... EnJoY...

I managed quite a few finished projects this month even though I was away for almost the entire time.
In fact 14 projects in all.
My THanKs to PEG and Kris for counting all the opam-ers total each month.
You can visit each girl... PeG HeREand Kris HeRe.
is this months addition to the gift box. Simple, neat and a quick project.
Thanks Narelle for all your encouragement to make One Item a Month.
If you would like to see what other elves got up to this month ... simply click on over to HeRe.
And once again I made this runner using only stash I had in my cubbyhole...
so I've added it to the Scrap Busting Challenge list too.
This was a scheduled post... as I actually made this "before" leaving on our caravan trip.
Every month Wendy hosts Friday Night SEW In & I always try to join in. Even while in the caravan I wanted to get together with my on line friends... so this month I decided to knit.
Kinda like my version... Friday Night STITCH in... ha ha
Another "beanie" has now been added to the charity box.
DD#2 wanted another quilt so I asked her to pick a design she liked.
She saw a layout on Pinterest awhile ago & said "that's the one I want".
So I set about making it... bit of trial & error with colours, block size & placement... and in the end DD#2 was very HaPPy with my colour decisions & layout.
Well... I am pleased to say Haphazard Peaks is now FiNisHeD.
I stitched the multi coloured binding down while in the caravan...
My friend Julie.. from Jewells blog HeRe... at Edge to EdgeQuilting, worked her magic with the quilting.
Thanks Julie... xox
The quilt measures 90 inch x 100 inch. Each one of the 90 blocks finished at 10 inches... (4 blocks of 1/2 square triangles made 1 coloured block) while the greys/lights were 1 x 10 inch block.
I chose the simple black & white backing fabric to make the quilt fully & quietly reversible.
Unfortunately I don't know the original owner of this diagram to give full credit here.
